EcoCar at the Eng Carnival 2015

DSC_3320We had a blast at the Engineering Students’ Society Carnival (also known as Eng Carnival)! There was immense interest shown in EcoCar and we really hope to see our ranks increase this year. Thank you to all the wonderful people who came out to have fun and learn about EcoCar and the other engineering groups. A very special thank you as well to the Engineering Students’ Society for organizing this event and making it possible.

We were able to showcase our previous generation car, Steve in all its carbon-fiber and bio-composite glory. It was a little surprising to see the top remain open all the way without the ever present hockey stick. I attribute this to mother nature smiling upon us due to our contribution to emissions free transport. However, some heretics tried to convince me that this was, in fact, due to the car being placed on a slightly downward slope. Preposterous.

Something new we tried this time around was a photo booth. Brave people could get in the car and we would snap embarrassing photos of them to poke fun at during our weekly meetings. Unfortunately, we got some really good pictures instead and now have to post them on the website. All jokes aside though, it was a delightful experience and we hope to attract more talent to EcoCar during the coming weeks. Thank you once again to everybody who helped make this event a success.
