Hard Work and Late Nights: Introducing Alice

After two years of planning, building, re-planning, and some more building, the EcoCar team’s new car, Alice, is finally ready. Our team has put in a lot of hard work and effort into this car. In fact, for the past few months, many of our members have been working on the car till the early hours of the morning, sometimes till 5 am!

We’ve learnt a lot of lessons along the way – carbon fiber is extremely conductive, batteries should never be plugged in backwards….relax, I’m just kidding. That didn’t happen at all (wink). In all seriousness though, this has been a great experience for the entire team and we’ve gained a variety of essential hands-on skills.

We have also been getting a lot of media exposure as a direct result of our car getting completed! We hosted a very successful Unveiling event for our car, won the Shell social media challenge by a huge margin (blog post to come!) and have been featured by multiple news outlets!

We’re glad to have such a dedicated and passionate group of people working together on this project. It’s never easy to manage a full workload from school along with something as demanding as building a car. Here’s to an amazing team. Cheers!

P.s.: Have you heard of our crowdfunding campaign? We could use your help to continue the work we’ve been doing!
